Due to the fact that I am follicle challenged, bald that is, I needed a solar observatory for my Coronado MaxScope 40, more about  the scope later. While wandering around the Bass Pro Shop, I saw this out-house hunting blind that would make a small portable solar observatory for my MaxScope. The observatory will work with any small refractor for day or nighttime observing. I had a mechanic’s table from Wal Mart, the table top was adjusted so my monitor would slide into one of the windows on the blind. With the blind staked out you have enough room for the scope, a chair, and eyepiece case. Maybe next summer I will get a small air conditioner, and put in the other window. The good life.
